Badlands, South Dakota
DAY 8, in which Little Buddy discovers a thriving oasis in an unexpected place.
Recharged & back on track.
Tonight, Mike and I knocked out two full projections in the Badlands to catch up after our complete burnout last night.
Night time.
Day time.
The badlands are another planet entirely.
We were so fortunate the day ended up as it did.
We arrived early, watched the sunset, and explored the area, as a group of rams walked right past us off a parking turnoff.
Iowa & Nebraska destroyed our car with bugs, so knowing we would be outside for two shoots in one night, in the middle of wilderness, Mike was adamant we be like a scout: prepared.
Fortunately, the wind was calm and steady and there wasn't a single bug all night.
